In December 2004, I had open-heart surgery for Congenital Heart Disease. I now enjoy good health and have become a passionate student of the heart.
If you have a diagnosis of heart disease, you may find yourself struggling with fears, anxieties, or depression. You may have a sense this is a huge opening to a new life, if you just knew how to walk through that door!
If you are a family member of a cardiac patient who is unable to come for this work, HeartCare Counseling can also be for you. It can give you a space to learn stress reduction skills to take care of your own well –being.
As your guide who understands the journey, I can:
- Help you to prepare emotionally for surgery or procedures.
- Support you in recovery with issues that may arise.
- Teach you the HeartMath System for Stress Reduction
- Listen to how your heart truly wants you to live
- Explore many feelings that cardiologists don’t talk with you about.
- Talk with your health care professionals to offer full team support
